京都有些咖啡店，不只是進去喝一杯咖啡。

WIFE & HUSBAND 就是這種地方。

店很小，木頭、老家具、陽光，坐在裡面會很自然地把速度放慢。

但我最喜歡的，其實是他們的野餐方式。

這裡可以租一個 Picnic Basket。
店家會把咖啡裝進保溫瓶，再準備杯子、小點心和桌布，放進籃子裡。想坐得更舒服，還可以另外租椅子、草蓆或折疊桌。

然後拎著那個籃子，走大概一百步，就到鴨川了。

我很喜歡這個想法。

不是特地安排一場「京都野餐」，而只是買了咖啡，拿著籃子走到河邊，找一塊自己喜歡的地方坐下來。

看水、看人經過，喝完一杯再回去。

In Kyoto, some cafés are more than just places to sit down for a cup of coffee.

WIFE & HUSBAND is one of them.

It’s small, warm, filled with wood, old furniture and soft sunlight — the kind of place that naturally makes you slow down.

But what I love most is their picnic idea.

You can rent a Picnic Basket filled with coffee in a thermos, cups, a small snack and a tablecloth. You can also rent stools, benches, mats or folding tables if you want to make yourself comfortable outside.

And then you simply carry everything to the Kamogawa River, only about a hundred steps away.

I like that it doesn’t feel like a carefully planned picnic.

It’s just coffee, a basket, the river, and an afternoon with nowhere else you need to be.
