柬埔寨 | 一個影響我部分下半人生的地方。

忽然之間，我發現了一首多年前寫的詩。

現在重新讀這些文字，我還是不知道 Bulay 和 Buben 是誰，也不知道當年照片裡的那些孩子，如今去了哪裡。

或許記憶本來就是這樣。它不會替我們保存完整的故事，只留下幾個名字、一條河、一堆石頭、一雙沾滿泥土的小腳，還有一些多年以後依然沒有消失的笑容。

世界繼續往前，河水繼續流。那些孩子早已長大，而我也離開了柬埔寨。只是有一些東西，跟著我一起回來了：嘗試新事物的勇氣，還有一點點自信。

雖然直到現在，我仍然是個缺乏自信的人，但和去柬埔寨以前的自己相比，簡直判若兩人。

那時候，我沒有工作，也不知道接下來要做什麼。看著那些孩子在遺跡裡玩耍，看著他們天真的笑容，我突然覺得，自己經歷過的那些挫折，又算得了什麼？我應該更有勇氣才對。

也是從那時候開始，我決定不再一直等著機會。我應該做一點事情，自己去爭取機會。

我的斜槓人生，不只是到了人生下半場才突然開始的。它從那趟旅程以後，一點一點長了出來，也讓我開始思考，該怎麼讓自己的下半輩子過得更精彩。

Another day, another smile
Another set of people come and by
Hear the river flow
Hear the evening set
Hear the sweetness of my heart
Whispers of the endless time
Whispers of the lonely night
Whispers of love that’d never lie
How many unsure morn
How many rejected faces
How many broken doors
Of the ruins they’ve built
Gold in the hands of war
Hunger beneath the sun
Jealousy, envy, greed
While the powerful move on
How many lines must we draw
How many borders must we name
Before we learn
The earth belongs to no one
Perhaps war ends
When borders disappear
When strangers  became a noun
Small hands, dusty feet
Playing among ancient stones
Ruins became  playground
Stones became toys
Some played in the earth
With nothing in their hands
Still they ran
Still they smiled
I took a picture
And carried their smiles with me
Bulay beside Buben
Two names upon a page
I forgot their story
But their names remained
Another day, another smile
Another road left behind
Hear the river flow

Hear the world keep turning
As if nothing ever happened
As if everything did

後來，我決定把這首詩放進 Joshua 的第一張專輯，成為第 11 首歌。這是我後來加進去的一首歌，因為它也是我旅程的一部分，記錄了我人生開始改變的那個時刻。

我不知道 Bulay 和 Buben 是誰，也不知道他們現在過著什麼樣的生活。或許我永遠不會知道。但當 Joshua 唱出這兩個名字時，那條河、那些石頭，以及孩子們沾滿泥土的小腳，又會短暫地回來。

這首歌很重要。

它不是要把我寫成一個去了柬埔寨以後，突然變得勇敢的人。事實上，我到現在還是會懷疑自己，還是經常缺乏自信。只是從那趟旅程開始，我不再一直站在原地等著別人給我機會。

我忘了 Bulay 和 Buben 的故事，卻還記得他們的名字。

現在，Joshua 會把它們唱出來。
